They can help open your mind to a new solution or a new way of looking at your problem. Of course, they went through different life experiences and would have something to bring to the table to help you find a solution. When you ask friends out, ask people from different backgrounds so that you get a rich source of answers and options to solve your problem. You will still follow what you think is best but their thoughts and ideas can help you get to that solution.
